Black Friday Survival Kits {Giveaway}

One of my favorite days of the year is Black Friday.  Seriously.  I've never gone out for the 'big deal', I just love being out and about crazy early, christmas music playing, sipping a peppermint mocha.  For the past, oh, 13 or so years I've been out in the wee hours.  I usually meet up with my mom and a sister or two if they happen to be out.  There have been years that I went out, came home and went back out again.  What can I say - I love crazy Christmas crowds!  This year there are lots of stores opening at midnight (or before), which means I might be pulling a complete all nighter.  Since most of the ladies on both sides of my family are ususally out too, I thought it would be fun to put together some BF Survival Kits for everyone.

Um...if you happen to be my mom, sister, m-i-l or s-i-l....stop reading!
******************************************************************************************
Each kit contains a few CLIF and Luna energy bars, Starbucks gift card, a cute little plastic ornament (Target dollar spot!) filled with mints, a pack of gum, bottle of water and a cute notebook to create the plan of attack!

And they'll be packaged in these gussied up reusable shopping bags:

And since I love these kits so much - I'm giving one away too!  All you have to do is leave a comment (on this post) telling me why you love or (horror of horrors) hate Black Friday.  The giveaway will be open until Wednesday, November 16th.

Love this idea! I love Black Friday craziness because my mom and I hit it together. Truth be told, we don't really go for the big deals (although I did score an amazing tv last year), we just like the hustle and bustle. And the Peppermint Mochas!

Thank you to everyone that entered!  And I hope you ladies have a fun & festive Black Friday!

Oh how fun! This is such a cute idea! My mom and I venture out each year, and like you, we aren't hunting for great deals, we just LOVE the atmosphere! :) I remember one year, we were literally running across the parking lot of Macys at 5am and laughing so hard because we had no idea why we were running, it was just fun. :)
Happy Shopping to you and your ladies! :) Michelle

I used to go out, but I might have to go out again this year if there are great deals. I love your idea of a Black Friday survival kit.

What a fabulous idea this is. I also love the ruffled bag. I can never have to many ruffles.

I used to love Black Friday as I always made it into a family affair as well. My mother, sister, sil, daughter and my sil's mother always went. This year however I am now working at the largest retail chain out there and dread it like my life depended on it. :)

That is a really fun idea! What a fun tradition with your family. I'm not so crazy about black Friday. Crazy crowds and getting up so early is not my thing. I'll gladly do a little shopping at say 9 or 10, after the crazies are all back in bed. :)

I'm definitely in the not-loving-it camp. I'd rather support independent local makers and crafters, so I usually buy at craft fairs throughout the year or online through etsy. We spend the day with the kids making cards and crafts so a snack or two would be nice!

This is such a good idea! I remember last year I was sttaarrvinnng. I went to my first store at 4a and my second at 5a. By then I called it quits for a couple hours so I could take a nap and have breakfast. This would have helped me score more deals last year. I'm planning on heading out at 10p on Thanksgiving this year. I'll definitely have to make my own survival kit if I don't win this one :)

That is such a great idea! Last year was the first year I got to shop on Black Friday, I went with my new Mother-in-law. We had so much fun! I am hoping to go with her again this year.

I think all of you should stay at home on the black friday and going shopping online at Amazon, ebay or other e-sellers. Because black friday is a big battle someone will hurt you when they are in a fight of finding their deals. In this year I has found a good deal for my vacuun cleaner buy searching on the internet. I found a website which give me a lot reviews and deals for this vacuum cleaner and this is the one I bought Hoover Platinum Lightweight
